Follow along with our Employee Spotlight series to discover the remarkable stories of our team members at Florida Dermatology Specialists.

Follow along with our Employee Spotlight series to discover the remarkable stories and contributions of our team members at Florida Dermatology Specialists. This month, we're thrilled to highlight Allyson Aguilar. Allyson joined our team in 2023, and shares her passion for patient care and dedication to dermatology as a Team Lead. Can you share a bit about your background and how you got into dermatology? After graduating I found a part-time job working in Dermatology. Soon after I fell in love with the field and quickly learned everything and loved everything about Dermatology! I've been working in Dermatology now for 20 years. What motivates you to do your best work? Patients. Patient care is my priority and I always want them to have the best experience with us as possible! Providing the best possible care and making connections is what motivates me. What advice would you give to someone considering a career in dermatology or managing a team? The advice I would give is to learn as much about everything as possible. Dermatology can be complex but rewarding to learn so much! Learning can help you manage your team correctly and help the team succeed in their goals! Could you share a skin care tip that you believe everyone should know for healthier skin? Sunscreen! Sunscreen! Sunscreen! Always wear your sunscreen! And make sure you reapply! Sun protection is the key for healthy skin. It’s much easier to prevent damage than to reverse it. What hobbies or activities do you enjoy outside of work? When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, my twin boys, and all things Disney. Question from Lucinda: If you weren’t in dermatology, what would you be doing? If I wasn’t in dermatology, I think I’d be doing something with music. My husband and I always wanted to open a record shop. One question you’d like to ask the next employee that is highlighted: What is your favorite part about being in Dermatology?

Stay tuned for next month’s Employee Spotlight for another close look at our outstanding team at Florida Dermatology Specialists.
