Juvéderm®

Juvéderm® are simple injectable treatments conveniently performed in our office. No anesthetic is required, but we offer a topical numbing gel to help minimize any discomfort from the injection process. Sometimes, local anesthesia is injected for a nerve block prior to filler injection. Furthermore, many Juvéderm® products include lidocaine, a local numbing agent, which further reduces any discomfort. To perform the treatment, the desired Juvéderm® formula will be injected into and around the treatment area. The exact number and location of these injections will depend on your cosmetic goals. These injections take only a few minutes to perform, after which we may massage the area to ensure the formula is evenly dispersed. After this, the treatment is complete.

Juvéderm® produces noticeable results immediately upon injection. However, due to minor side effects, it may take a few days before patients can appreciate the full results of treatment. The duration of the results from Juvéderm® will vary depending on the exact products used, but they generally last between 6 and 18 months. After this time, patients can receive additional treatments to maintain their results.

There is no downtime required after dermal filler injections, so patients can resume their normal daily activities immediately after their appointment. However, patients can expect some minor redness, swelling and/or bruising in the treatment area as a result of the injections. These side effects typically fade within a few days. We recommend applying ice or cold compresses to the treatment areas afterwards.
